Biography:
A magical performer, she has an unerring touch on the violin. She studied initially with her father, A. Narayana Iyer, before training with the Pandit Onkarnath Thakur, a renowned vocalist. In her notes to her Music Today album she quotes her guru's advice about playing: "Approach the musical notes with utmost tenderness, love and humility, caress them, cajole them."
