Biography:
Though she was a sang and wrote songs as a child, Linda J. Albertano gave it up to try spoken-word readings. Using her BFA in filmmaking from UCLA, she began staging elaborate intermedia performances around Los Angeles and, at the same time, gained local fame for her poetry readings. Called 1989's Best Female Performer-Poet by the L.A. Weekly, Albertano has released a spoken-word album on New Alliance called Skin. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide Written by John Bush
